What a glorious moment to be riding proud in the South China Sea with a blazing sun, and turquoise sea below. For all the years I knew my grandfather, this is what he loved about being in the Navy, the love for the ocean never left him. He would frequently take us out on his boat and the gleam in his eye would let us know that he was in love. In Jan-2005, I went to see the Phillipines for myself, and I now know and understand why the impression never left him.
